Reviews Summary

Conero Regional Park is celebrated for its breathtaking natural beauty, particularly its stunning beaches and panoramic viewpoints. Visitors rave about the crystal-clear waters and the charm of villages like Sirolo. However, some reviews point to issues with trail maintenance and safety features in certain areas, suggesting a need for better upkeep.

"A beautiful natural park overlooking the sea, with a myriad of facets, from the trails of Mount Conero and its surroundings to the beaches that can only be reached on foot or by boat. The most beautiful and famous are the Due Sorelle beach, the Mezzavalle beach, and the beaches of Sirolo (Urbani and San Michele), but there's also the Scalaccia beach (just below Ancona) and others (if you search on Google, you'll find my reviews of the main ones). The park is beautiful; my husband and I visited last week, based in Sirolo, a central and convenient location. I'm adding some photos of all the beaches we visited."

Milena Boglione

"You have in your hands one of the most enchanting places in the whole Adriatic. You are good at organizing excursions and events of various kinds, but as far as maintenance and safety are concerned, you border on the ridiculous. You feel abandoned: balustrades are missing, parapets are non-existent, and points are extremely dangerous, even for those traveling with guides."

camillo bianchi

"The park's natural beauty is especially beautiful in those areas where, over the years, pine forests and wetlands have not been destroyed (as was the case with the Adam and Eve Village), hectares of cultivated land have not been sacrificed (both in Numana and Sirolo), and beaches and seabeds have not been defaced by uncontrolled beach replenishment (Numana's "La Spiaggiola" and the Hotel Eden Gigli beach).
The numerous trails are poorly maintained. Except for the wider paths that follow the driveways and a few others, vegetation (brambles, thistles, and grasses over a meter tall) invades the paths. See for yourself: hike the Anello della Pecorara these days (bring a brush cutter).
It's a shame this neglect exists."

The most famous is Due Sorelle beach, an iconic stretch accessible primarily by boat, known for its dramatic twin sea stacks. Other popular spots include Sirolo's Urbani and San Michele beaches, offering amenities and easy access from the charming village. For those seeking a more secluded experience, Mezzavalle beach provides a tranquil escape. Reddit

Reaching these beaches often involves a scenic hike or a boat trip. Many visitors opt for boat tours departing from Numana or Sirolo, which offer a fantastic perspective of the rugged cliffs and hidden coves. While the beauty is undeniable, some reviews mention that certain beaches and their access points can be affected by uncontrolled beach replenishment or lack of maintenance, so it's wise to check recent conditions. Reddit

Remember to pack appropriate footwear, as many paths are rocky and uneven. Bringing your own water and snacks is also advisable, especially if you plan to spend a full day exploring these natural wonders. The vibrant blue of the sea against the white pebbles creates a truly picturesque scene, making the effort to reach these shores well worth it. Instagram

Hiking the Trails of Mount Conero

Mount Conero, the park's namesake limestone promontory, offers a network of hiking trails catering to various fitness levels. These paths wind through fragrant Mediterranean scrub, pine forests, and offer breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and the coastline. It's recommended to wear sturdy hiking boots and be prepared for potentially challenging terrain. Reddit

For those who prefer a guided experience or want to learn more about the local flora and fauna, guided hiking tours are available. These tours can provide valuable insights and ensure a safer exploration of the mountain's diverse landscapes.
