"Been here for years since I was a kid and this review makes my heart very heavy :( In the last few years, this Bay become totally overcrowded, dirty & horrible during the summer. You can clearly see feces floating on the surface of the see very often. Despite the fact of signs with restrictions, you can hear kids blasting music every time during the day and the night, playing football, using tents, smoking, leaving amount of trash around. The prices of the bars and restaurants in this area absolutely ridiculous and the quality of the food is absolutely mediocre. So sad and depressing."

"There's something magical about Sestri Levante already. Not too crowded even during August, it remains a place I love to stay in summer. Tourists prefer to rush to cinque terre.
You can choose to go with the small lidos or just directly dive in the water, and its quality is correct.
I removed one star because during some days, the water is not as transparent as some other places. But overall, not too dirty. Just note that the sunset will not land there, if you want to see the sun set over the ocean, just go to the other beaches around."
