Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Catacombe di Sant'Antioco a fascinating historical site, particularly appreciating the knowledgeable and passionate guides who bring the stories of Sant'Antioco and the ancient tombs to life. However, some reviewers point to poor organization regarding opening hours and information availability, suggesting improvements could be made to enhance the visitor experience. Reddit+1

"Definitely worth seeing. Too bad for the poor organization - and the little information available. Useless telephone number, practically inactive, even worse the information via the web. No data on the visiting hours, not even on site. Paid visit. Free during the "Open Monuments" event. The event - as I was told afterwards - started at 4 pm, but on the poster the postscript was in small print and not on the front page (see photo: page 4), a fact that I personally reported to the relevant local organization. Videos and photos are prohibited, apart from the entrance.
Following the response to my review, I would like to point out that "as can be seen from the photos": I was able to see the times INSIDE THE CHURCH, but above all I was not referring to the times of the masses or the opening of the catacombs, but to the actual times of the visits (which in fact do not have a fixed time and therefore if you arrive and there is someone visiting, the secretariat is closed and you have to wait outside for the previous group to finish without any other indications of any kind).
To be fair, I would like to point out that on three occasions there was no one on site to ask for information in person - I doubt that a foreign tourist would return to the site three times as I did. The organization can always be improved and sometimes feedback is exactly what it is for. I therefore hope that you can benefit from my report which is not intended as sterile criticism, but on the contrary would like to provide support that improves the service."

"A wonderful catacomb with Roman, Christian, and Phoenician tombs. A great multilingual guide. Check the opening times! Admission to the small catacomb is well worth a visit. Photography is prohibited inside the catacomb itself."
