What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Conca River Cycle Path offers a scenic and nature-rich experience, particularly appealing for its wildlife and family-friendly evening rides. However, visitors should be prepared for variable path conditions and inconsistent maintenance in certain sections, which can sometimes make the ride challenging.
"A bike path that starts from the sea and reaches Morciano di Romagna.
It runs along both banks of the Conca River.
It is entirely gravelled, except for one stretch on both sides, which is asphalt.
It has recently been lacking in maintenance: some sections have been reduced to a narrow single track due to small landslides, and the grass is uncut and partially encroaching on the path. However, it is entirely passable, despite the old prohibition signs that have been abandoned for months."

"The Conca Ecovia is popular for pleasant walks (on foot, by bike, or on horseback) along the banks of this torrential watercourse, which often dries up in the summer. Only small streams remain, often under rocks, supporting a habitat that includes egrets, herons, mallards, roe deer, amphibians, and more. Two years ago, we saw a skinny wolf wandering along a parched riverbed, solitary and oblivious to us, who were 40-50 meters away. Near the Santa Monica circuit, you can admire a curious feature: a sign indicates the "Conca Canyon" where, for a short stretch, the right bank rises to about 10 meters. The vertical cliff is fragile, but seems highly suitable for nesting bee-eaters, the most colorful migratory birds seen in Europe. These birds, very fond of bees, dig tunnels in the clay walls at the edges of rivers: from the outside, numerous round holes can be seen, which can then penetrate the earth for several meters."

"What a disappointment! It's been a while since I've traveled it. The stretch that is the responsibility of the Municipality of Misano Adriatico and that starts from Portoverde (looking at the mountains) the one on the right to be clear is fine. For the rest it is left to itself, especially going down from Morciano where all you do is scratch yourself because there is no maintenance of the vegetation. Give it a few years and it will no longer be eaten by the vegetation. The municipalities of Morciano, San Clemente and S. Giovanni in Marignano obviously don't care and all the money often seems like money thrown away"
