What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Sacro Monte di San Vivaldo as a beautiful, serene, and spiritual hidden gem in Tuscany, offering a unique pilgrimage experience. Many appreciate the 'Little Jerusalem' replicas and the tranquil forest setting. However, some have encountered issues with closed buildings and ticket offices, suggesting advance checks or guided tours are beneficial.
"It was a nice mini trip. We went on a sunday and there were many people there. We walked around the place but the buildings themselves were closed. Online and next to the ticket office there were signs everywhere that you do not need a reservation or anything. But the ticket office was closed and no one was to find. I think an excursion would be better. There was a church mass with a little shop for coffee and water- that was nice."

"Interesting place. You can visit Little Jerusalem where they have scaled down replicas of many of the places/houses/etc where Jesus had one spent time in.
Check times and if you want a tour I recommend you call ahead to make sure a guide is available when you will be visiting."

"Very beautiful, serene and spiritual place. It's like going to the Holy Land itself. The father rector / parish priest is very kind and accommodating. Can be very cold since it's on a mountain surrounded by a forest. Not accessible by public transport. Good for those seeking solace, quiet and peace."
