. . . #immacolata #pavia #oggi #ilticino #news #notizie #vigilidelfuoco #vigilidelfuo...

"Check mass timings"

Natasha Grech

"Some people just copy and paste articles and take credit for it (they don't cite their sources, which is quite dishonest, isn't it?) but without making the effort to verify what is said. In reality, it is necessary to distinguish the construction of the cloister in the 16th century from that of the church which began in 1400, in place of a private chapel actually built in 1290 but given to the cathedral of Rovereto in 1319. The work was completed in 1759 with the construction of the bell tower. The overall style is 17th century, with a clear influence of Jesuit Baroque, as evidenced by the ceiling paintings. The church is definitely worth a visit."

The Artistry of the Brancacci Chapel

The Brancacci Chapel within the Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine in Florence is an absolute must-see for art enthusiasts. It houses a cycle of frescoes painted by Masaccio and Masolino da Panicale, later completed by Filippino Lippi. These works are considered a cornerstone of Early Renaissance art, revolutionizing painting with their naturalism, dramatic use of light and shadow (chiaroscuro), and emotional depth. Masaccio's figures, in particular, possess a monumental quality and psychological realism that was unprecedented for the time. The chapel's influence on subsequent generations of artists, including Michelangelo, is profound. Instagram

Visiting the Brancacci Chapel often requires a separate ticket or a guided tour, as it's a highly sought-after attraction. The frescoes depict scenes from the life of Saint Peter, and their innovative techniques set a new standard for artistic expression.
