"Where do I begin? If I were to sum up this restaurant in a single word, it would, regrettably, be mediocre. My wife and I visited during our honeymoon, eager to enjoy a romantic evening overlooking the magnificent Basilica of Saint Mary Major. We arrived 20 to 30 minutes early, only to be informed that a larger party had taken precedence and our table with the view would no longer be available. Instead, we were escorted to the far end of the rooftop where the “panoramic view” turned out to be a dimly lit street below, scattered with trash and void of any charm.
To their credit, our waiter was exceptional attentive, gracious, and professional. Unfortunately, impeccable service couldn’t save what was otherwise a disappointing experience. For a restaurant that presents itself as a destination of refined dining and breathtaking atmosphere, the reality fell short.
The drinks were enjoyable, but the food, while plated beautifully, lacked any real depth of flavor and was cold. My wife and I are lovers of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, yet what was served here was, without exaggeration, among the least satisfying meals we’ve encountered.
It pains me to write this, especially on such a special occasion, but the evening was simply not what was promised. If you’re seeking a place for exceptional food, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere."
