What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hotel Fragrance St Peter is praised for its exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, clean communal areas, and a delightful rooftop terrace with city views. While some guests noted thin walls leading to noise transfer, the hotel's convenient location near the Vatican and public transport, along with good value for money, makes it a recommended choice for many.
"My daughter and I stayed at this small, cozy hotel this week. The location is excellent, very close to St. Peter's Station and the Vatican. The service was outstanding. The room was very clean and spacious. The terrace where the restaurant is located was very inviting. My daughter got sick, and Andrea helped us call a doctor to visit her in the room. Everyone who was there during our three-day stay was incredibly helpful with everything we asked for. I have nothing but gratitude and wonderful memories of this hotel. Thank you so much to everyone who works at this lovely hotel."

"Myself and my partner are just back from staying here ( literally just a few hours ago ) and I would recommend this to others !
Firstly, the staff are all soo lovely and helpful. The communal areas are clean and tidy. We didn’t manage to grab dinner however did spend some time on the roof top bar one evening, the drinks were great and soo well priced. We actually said we wished we spent more time here !
The room had everything we needed, plenty of light and very clean. I will say that the walls are really thin, we only really noticed this when the room across from us kept slamming their door and it did feel like they were physically in our room but besides this - it was a great hotel.
Location wise, I didn’t realise it was a little out the way from being close to the centre (big shops, Trevi fountain and so on) however we just used Uber but I think if you researched before going, public transport would be really easy to use !"

"The hotel and everything is perfect.
the walls of the rooms are very thin, so someone having a shower next door to us you can hear the water and the person moving around which woke us up due to being late at night. But regardless of that the rooms are very clean and got everything you need.
The staff are 10/10, they go absolutely above and beyond for your needs. They’re amazing.
The breakfast is a 8/10, they offer continental with all the pastries and cereals and cold meats and cheese, they also do offer turkey sausages (like frankfurter type) and scrambled and boiled egg and beautiful crispy bacon strips. And the breakfast is located on the 5th floor where the beautiful scenic view of the Vatican is the main backdrop whilst eating breakfast and in-between the houses you get to see the snow peaked mountains.
The hotel is greatly located very close to the Vatican itself, and it’s also not far from the main city centre. The walk to the Vatican is 10 minutes and the walk to Rome city centre is about 20 minutes (of course depending on fitness)
Definitly recommend and definitely will stay here again."

Navigating Rome from Hotel Fragrance St Peter
For those who enjoy walking, the Vatican City is a mere 10-minute stroll away, making it an ideal starting point for exploring St. Peter's Basilica and Square. However, for the more distant attractions, planning your routes using public transport or considering a short taxi or Uber ride might be more efficient. Many guests find that the ease of access to transport links compensates for the hotel not being in the absolute heart of the action.
When planning your days, consider the travel times to different parts of the city. While Rome is walkable, distances can add up. Utilizing the local transport network will help you maximize your sightseeing time and make the most of your stay at Hotel Fragrance St Peter.
The Rooftop Experience at Fragrance St Peter
This terrace isn't just for evening drinks; it's also where breakfast is served. Imagine starting your day with a continental spread while gazing out at the scenic backdrop of the Vatican. The ambiance is frequently described as inviting and a highlight of the stay. While the rooftop bar is noted as being on the smaller side, accommodating around 10 groups, its charm and the quality of the drinks make it a worthwhile experience.
Whether you're looking for a quiet moment with a view, a place to enjoy a sundowner, or a picturesque spot for your morning meal, the rooftop terrace at Hotel Fragrance St Peter provides a memorable element to your Roman holiday.
Understanding Room Comforts and Noise Levels
This aspect can be a significant factor for light sleepers or those seeking absolute quiet. While the hotel staff are highly praised for their service, they cannot alter the building's acoustics. Some guests have managed this by using earplugs, which can significantly improve the sleeping experience. It's worth noting that this is a common characteristic in many older European buildings, and while it can be a drawback, it doesn't detract from the overall positive experiences many have had.
When booking, if room quietness is a top priority, it might be beneficial to request a room away from high-traffic areas or inquire if any rooms are better insulated. Despite this potential issue, the cleanliness and overall comfort of the rooms, combined with the exceptional service, often lead guests to overlook this minor inconvenience.
