"I’m almost kicking myself as I write this review. Why? Because I’m afraid more people will end up going to this place than already do. Our local guide, Monica, said this is the number one place to visit for gelato in Rome. And boy, was she right. This is the best gelato we’ve ever had. This place has been around for a while over 100 years and we can see why. We decided to do the in café experience we could have a small sandwich that function as our dinner together with a huge gelato. The hot chocolate was OK if not except exceptional. The sandwich was definitely serviceable. But the gelato? Unbelievable. Absolutely fabulous. And we also have to commend the servers for helping us and being so friendly. They have to put up with a lot of self-service customers trying to sit in their space, which I can understand after walking 15,000 steps in a day, but they’re trying to earn a living! Just pay a few euros more and grab a seat. Or be like the rest of the crowds and stand outside and have a great time. But if you want great gelato this is the place to be"

"I tried the pistachio and tiramisu flavors in the small two-scoop size and paid €3.80. The ice cream was good, but once you buy it, you can’t sit inside. If sitting inside were allowed at this price, it would be amazing. Still, I like this place and I’ll come back again."

"During our travels in Italy, a family member highly recommended Giolitti's gelato. While we were in Rome, we found a location near our accommodation and decided to give it a try. The gelato is exceptional! They offer various flavors, allowing you to choose several for your cone or cup. With the larger size, you can mix even more flavors. On our first visit, we sampled about four or five different flavors and enjoyed them so much that we returned a couple of days later. Their gelatos are very flavorful and not overly sweet, especially compared to the average ice cream and gelato in the US. The line can be long, so be prepared to wipe your mouth if you drool while considering all the delicious options. The staff is quick and helpful. It's a delightful experience if you find yourself in Rome."
