Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the Fontana della Pigna for its historical significance and unique design, particularly the massive bronze pine cone. While the Vatican location offers a serene escape, some note that the water flow can be disappointing. The Rimini fountain is praised for its central role in a lively piazza and its connection to Leonardo da Vinci.

"A nice marble 15th century fountain which it was in full use until the 1912 which the public aqueduct was inaugurated. It was designed by Giovanni Carrara in 1543 and it has still got the Roman dates at the top base. On top is decorated with a pine cone.
The beauty and harmony of its plays of water even enchanted Leonardo da Vinci, whose words are engraved on the monument: “Make harmony with the different falls of water, as I saw in the fountain in Rimini”.
Shame when we have visited it was only a dribble of water coming through.
Is located in Piazza Cavour."

Kypriopoulla
