Piscinas Dunes and Beach is lauded for its stunning natural beauty, featuring vast sand dunes and a long, pristine beach with clear waters. However, the challenging dirt road access and potential parking difficulties are frequently mentioned drawbacks.
"Nice beach with dunes. There was an abandoned town on the way, good for photography. There are a few restaurants to get some food but we brought our own food. It is better if you bring your own umbrella as well, cause it might be expensive to rent one there.
Unfortunately we chose a very windy day, it was not possible to swim… On a saturday in August, we didn’t think there would be mistrale. So please check the wind situation before coming.
The parking was 5 euro."

"from september 2025:
the road down to the parking (which costs between 3 and 15 euros depending on when you arrive and I believe size of car or camper) is not asphalt for the last few kilometers & it took us about 35 minutes to the main road. it's very ok to drive on though, a bit of sand and rocks with some holes. but if you're careful and not in a hurry, it's not an obstacle. however the bigger the car, the harder it gets.
once you get there, parking spots should not be a problem at all - maybe in full on summer time.
you're rewarded with an almost endless long beach strip that due to its location is not overcrowded & there are 2 shops with beverages and ice cream.
only downside were the closed toilets, but that could have been temporary."

"A stunning beach, but be very careful getting in and out.
This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. Crystal-clear water, peaceful atmosphere, and truly worth the trip—if you’re prepared for the difficult access.
The only way to reach it is by car (or possibly by bike if you're very fit). The last 5 km are on a dirt road full of potholes and puddles. That’s manageable, but the real problem is the parking area: when leaving, our car got completely stuck in a sandpit.
There’s a warning sign not to drive through that area, but the way the exit is set up, you’re basically forced to pass through it unless you go against traffic. It’s a trap.
We were lucky—two tourists in a car and two others on bikes helped us dig out and push. Without them, we would have been stranded.
There really should be clearer signs and some sort of assistance on-site. If you visit, enjoy the beach, but be extra cautious driving in and especially out."
