What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Villa Zito Art Museum is widely praised as a hidden gem, offering a wonderful collection of Sicilian art and history in a beautifully restored villa. Visitors consistently highlight the incredible value of the 5 euro entry fee and the peaceful, often solitary, atmosphere. While some find the tapestries less engaging, the 19th and 20th-century paintings and rotating local exhibitions are highly appreciated.
"Wonderful! Medium size museum mostly containing art that conveys the archaeological or cultural developments of Sicily over the millennia. I found it very relaxing and enjoyable to walk around the two floors. The tapestries were not as interesting to me, but could be to others and they were beautiful. I would recommend including this museum in your explorations!"

"A small nice museum with changing exhibitions of palermitain artists. The artworks are nicely presented, the museum is well preserved, the expositions are interesting. We were the only visitors. The personnel is very friendly and attentive and treats you like celebrities. The entry ticket is just 5 euros, that i would say underpriced in comparison with other local museums proposing the collections of the similar size. I highly recommend visiting it."

"Well worth the entrance fee of only 5€. A wonderful collection. Clean and nicely exhibited. We showed up in the early afternoon on a Saturday and spent about 45 minutes and we were the only ones there the entire time.
If you like art, photography, and a little history, you’ll enjoy yourself."
