Rising majestically in the heart of Palermo, it blends Norman, Gothic, Baroque, and Neoclassical elements into a unique and awe-inspiring whole, reflecting the many civilizations that shaped Sicily. The intricate exterior, with its arches and carvings, invites you to pause and admire every detail, while the vast interior houses royal tombs, sacred treasures, and a sense of solemn grandeur. Climbing to the rooftop is an unforgettable experience, offering panoramic views over Palermo’s rooftops and mountains. More than just a place of worship, the Cathedral is a living symbol of the city’s soul—an unmissable five-star highlight for any visitor."

"Palermo Cathedral is one of the most impressive places I've seen!
I advise everyone to take a ticket for 13 €, it includes:
• Ascent to the roofs of the cathedral with a 360° panorama of the whole Palermo, the sea and the mountains;
• Magdalene's well is an atmospheric archeological zone;
• A crypt with ancient sarcophagi;
• Apses in Arab-Norman style;
• Treasury with relics and jewellery.
Each zone is unique in its own way, and the route turns out to be rich and logical. The views from the roof and the calm, almost mystical atmosphere of the dungeons were particularly impressive.
I recommend allocating at least an hour and a half to get around everything without haste.
A must-see in Palermo!"
