This 19th-century bastion was built to help defend the north coast and archipelago di La Maddalena from invasion – something it was never called on to do. It.s easy to get to - 3 km out of Palau and the 45 minute tour will teach you a lot of interesting things about the history of Europe, not only Sardinia. Totally wotth it. And the views are amazing, you can see even Corsica."
