What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Teatro Mancinelli is praised for its beautiful architecture, especially the frescoed ceiling in the adjacent cafe, and its role as a cultural hub in Orvieto. Visitors appreciate the affordable prices and pleasant atmosphere at the cafe, making it a great spot for a break. However, some note that the cafe's opening hours can be inconsistent, and service might occasionally be less than friendly.
"Gorgeous café adjacent to Teatro Mancinelli on the Corso Cavour known nowadays as Palace Café. You can sit on the terrace in the street, but inside, it is better with a ceiling decorated with frescoes and Ella Fitzgerald in the background. The pastries are served from a glass bell at the counter and the coffee is good, also has a full bar. Poor service and not friendly staff. Quiet enough to relax briefly but to flee and very lively when the theater is playing.
Pleasant for eyes and ears ..."

"Very nice cafe ( although opening hours seem a bit random).
Some of the best prices in Orvieto for coffee and cake. When we went cappuccino was €1.20 compared to €2.50 + elsewhere, and the coffee was good as were the cakes. Highly recommend"

"Lovely little cafe and bar with a great atmosphere. Google maps incorrectly said that they were closed. Since we were passing it anyways, we peeped inside to find it open. The barista was a fun woman who answered some of our questions.
In terms of operating/open hours, it is open Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to late evening (based on if the theater has any events). If the theater has events on Sun/Mon, they will likely stay open as well.
Sometimes they have special events when they do appetizers and drinks and a tour of the theater.
If you are not sure, I recommend just checking it to see if it's open."
