A little bit of what we got to see on the Paisley Park tour! Most of the time you have your phone locked up but they give it back to you to photograph these areas. Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Pausilypon Park and Seiano Cave for their historical significance and stunning natural beauty, particularly the dramatic sea views. The Seiano Cave tunnel is a unique highlight, offering a tangible connection to Roman engineering. Some visitors note that the site can be less maintained than more popular attractions, and accessibility might be a concern for some.

"Very nice archaeological park of a villa on the sea. It is between many private homes on semi-private land. The access via an 800m long tunnel made at Roman times is really neat. The remains are not as impressive as the site is."

Walid Nabhane

"Beautiful archeological Roman villa! With amazing views! Elena, one of the guides, was extremely nice! There is a bit of walking, approx 30. Make sure you make a reservation before!"

Katherine Soriano Amador

"Ancient villa set in beautiful surroundings, with two theatres and 700m tunnel accross the hill. I was eager to see it.
However, there are few things that need to be changed and fixed: access - it is difficult to come by public transport and if you manage it, you have to go along busy road in not very nice surroundings. Then English tour - due to the public transport we missed the only English tour. We were able to join Italian tour but for us would be better to explore the Parco by ourselves. That was not an option. The last point - the exit would be perfect at different side of the parc. Now you ought to go the same busy road along to the bus stop. And bring cash - no card payment."

The Seiano Cave: A Roman Engineering Marvel

The Seiano Cave is a remarkable testament to Roman engineering, a 770-meter-long tunnel carved directly through the rock face. Its primary purpose was to provide a sheltered and direct passage from the villa's residential areas to the seaside, allowing residents to access the coast without navigating the rugged terrain. Walking through this ancient passageway today offers a tangible connection to the past, with its rough-hewn walls and the echoing sounds of footsteps. The cave's construction highlights the Romans' advanced understanding of geology and their ability to shape the landscape to their needs. Reddit

Emerging from the darkness of the cave, visitors are greeted with stunning panoramic views of the Bay of Naples, the island of Nisida, and the surrounding coastline. This dramatic reveal is one of the most memorable aspects of the visit. The cave's strategic location and construction underscore the luxurious and practical considerations of the ancient Roman elite who built and inhabited the Pausilypon villa.
