What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie Capodimonte to be an intimate and serene parish, praised for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful baroque architecture, and engaging homilies. While parking can be a challenge, the spiritual and artistic richness of the church makes it a worthwhile visit for those seeking quiet contemplation and a connection with the local community.
"I have known this church ⛪✝ of Porta Piccola for a long time, and today I finally went inside for a moment of inner meditation 🛐.
This parish, which was built, way back in 1575, in place of a small votive shrine of the Madonna delle Grazie, and by a local aristocrat, the Marquis Innocenzo Mazza, is very intimate and instills a great sense of peace in the hearts of the faithful.
Inside there are several historical and artistic works that contribute to elevating its architectural beauty and religious solemnity.
Unfortunately I did not attend the mass 🙏, but I will not fail to participate on a future occasion.
I recommend reaching the church on foot, as via Bosco di Capodimonte does not allow a great possibility of parking 🅿, perhaps leaving the car on via Miano or on the nearby viale Colli Aminei.
Worth a visit 👍."

"Modest in size, but captivating for its furnishings, frescoes, and, above all, for the parish priest's homily, which engages the faithful with simple yet powerful words. If I lived nearby, I'd go there more often."
