The challenging gradients and shady ascent are highlights, offering a profound sense of accomplishment. While the summit views are good, the true reward lies in conquering the climb itself. "We climbed Mortirolo from Mazzo, the classic way for Giro d' Italia as part of our cycling tours. We love this climb, it is shady with pine trees, very quiet countryside lanes with quaint Italian villages & church along the way. There is also a nice bike paths nicely connected from Bormio, if you know the way :)

While the summit may not be as spectacular as the other bigger names such as Stelvio or Gavia, many of us had a good lasting impressions with Mortirolo. You bet we will be back again & again!"
