"Stunning place to admire among the vehicles of Modica 💛"
Salvo Fiducia
"Modica's Clock Tower stands imposingly above the ruins of the ancient Counts' Castle. The mechanical clock was installed in 1725, atop the post-earthquake remains of an old military guardhouse. It's still in perfect working order: the complex counterweight mechanisms are checked and reset approximately every 24 hours.
It's a shame that when I visited, it was under restoration, but it was worth it for the splendid view of Modica."
