"Visited this Cemetery ( & others in the area ) in the late 1990's with my Father , who thankfully survived the Salerno landings & Monte Cassino . Truly humbling experience , especially witnessing my Father finding graves of old comrades , one whom he last saw on a stretcher some 50+ years before .. never knowing of his fate .. till our visit . My one abiding memory of our Pilgrimage to many of the Cemeteries of the Salerno area , were the beautiful tributes on a 'DAILY' basis .. of thanks by locals for their liberation/freedom .. GRAZIE MILLE TUTTI . MY Father died in 2012 , i am so proud of him & thankful to have fulfilled my promise .. in taking him back to where he & his comrades fought so courageously for the freedom of others .. LEST WE FORGET ."

"Very well kept. I have been twice here and it is always looking beautiful. Our family were extremely happy to see 2 daffodils in bloom on my Great Uncles grave."
