Architecturally, the space features early medieval Romanesque elements—stone columns, vaulted arches, and preserved sections of the ancient Roman marble pavement and drainage channels. Recent restorations have revealed beautiful star-patterned ceiling frescoes, symbolic decorations referencing Jerusalem, and earlier archaeological layers dating back to the 4th century."
