Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Planetario Ulrico Hoepli for its immersive and educational astronomy shows, offering a captivating journey through the cosmos. The dome experience is frequently highlighted as a unique and awe-inspiring attraction for all ages. While dining options are limited on-site, the surrounding area provides ample choices.

"This was a fantastic experience! I visited the Milan Planetarium today for the first time. It has a large dome and is equipped with a classic projection instrument—also called a planetarium—that displays the stars and their movements across the sky.

Just yesterday, the instrument celebrated its 95th anniversary!

We attended a guided presentation, beautifully accompanied by a pianist from the Conservatorio. It was a truly mesmerizing talk, though only in Italian.

The staff were knowledgeable and kind. I honestly can’t recommend this experience enough! Check the schedule, great prices!"

Daniela Barrera

"We enjoyed a lovely show, made especially for kids and run by an extremely knowledgeable guy who was clearly part-astronomer, part-entertainer.

The building itself is just under 100 years old, and though it's the biggest observatory in Milan, I think I would have preferred it to be more modern. The old, hard, wooden chairs are cute in a museum, but in a place dedicated to science, I feel it's a little incongruous.

However. It was very inexpensive, you weren't hustled to buy souvenirs on the way out and we all enjoyed learning something.

Overall, a nice hour spent."

Matt Bedford

"Let's be frank: It could've been a power point presentation. The show had nothing except one minute of good animation. And even that was really poor quality.
Total disaster.
Seats only rotate but no recline.
On top don't go there if you're not Italian..."
