What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking views from the Duomo terraces and the awe-inspiring architecture of the cathedral itself. Many recommend booking tickets in advance, especially for the rooftop, and suggest visiting during golden hour for the best experience. Some find the museum to be a valuable addition to the visit.
"A must-see in Milan! Impressive church with so many statues I was overwhelmed 😁
We took the tickets with elevator access to the rooftop and that's worth it, the view is magnificent and makes you wonder in awe how they accomplished building this church. Nearly 3400 statues I heard. Going down is by stairs and the elderly crowd in our family had to take some time and effort to climb down the 250 stairs. Inside the church was also all awe inspiring!"

"Bought our tickets online, arrived 1030 ish (to beat the tourists) so no queues. Git lift to roof area, which was busy but able for us to stroll about, we took some fabulous photos, It's a beautiful building, a bit of a climb down but manageable if your a bit unsteady on your feet. Ground floor is beautiful, again fabulous photos. Highly recommend a visit. :) :)"

"The Duomo in Milan is a must-see, right in the heart of the city. We purchased our tickets in advance, which made the visit smoother. I highly recommend going up to the rooftop, while an elevator is available, climbing the stairs makes the experience more special. From the top, you get amazing views of the city and great photo opportunities. It’s also less crowded if you visit in the morning."
