What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Marina Cala de' Medici is praised for its wonderful facilities, spacious layout, and as a safe harbor during storms. However, some visitors have experienced frustration with shower access closing early and a lack of clear communication regarding facility hours and policies. The marina is also noted for its long walking distances to some berths.
"Wonderful facilities and staff. We waited out a storm here and felt completely safe and cared for. And the shopping center is great for early morning cappuccinos and late night gelatos."

"Disappointing Experience. Arriving Late-No Showers.
It’s a pity, because the port is new, spacious, and easy to maneuver in. But if you arrive after 19:30, you won’t be able to use the showers or toilets—they don’t give you a key, and no one mentioned this when we booked by phone.
When arrived we were told by dock assistant to call on VHF and they would let us in, but the night guardian refused access. After a long journey, not being able to shower was frustrating.
When we raised the issue the next morning, the staff didn’t apologize—just said “that’s the rule.” Poor communication and customer service. A port without accessible facilities loses much of its value.
P.S. The later response below of Marina Cala de Medici is not accurate. When we called marina during the day, no information was provided by the staff regarding this issue. Neither the dock assistant nor the night guardian mentioned anything about the POS and the option to pay €50. The night guardian denied the access to the showers.
It would be appreciated if the port could simply acknowledge this oversight and take it into consideration for improving the experience of future guests."

"They Close sooner as the timetable and don’t care who is out. Needed to jump the fence !
Unacceptable!
Also no showers working with strange sensor outside the cabins so that the light turns off all the time !"
