"Excellent, definitely recommended if you enjoy staring at motorbikes. The gentlemen were very warm and welcoming when we arrived and let us drop our travel cases in the security room so we could walk around unhindered.
The collection is spread across 3 floors with lots of interesting memorabilia and side exhibits (wind tunnel design, awards, commercials, design documents, open case engines). Exceptional really for a free museum. From what I understood, every Moto Guzzi has been built basically within a hundred metres for over a hundred years!
There's even a classic photo of Sean Connery if you look hard enough 😁
We went on a Friday as a detour on the train from Varenna to Milan, it's a 5 minute walk from the train station in Mandello. It's currently open Friday and Saturday. I'd book a free ticket just in case it is busy.
There are also architectural designs and mock-ups for a much bigger future attraction, so I'm very intrigued to see where it goes. Best wishes to everyone there for that next chapter, and thank you for having us."
