The informative descriptions and stunning views from the terraces are also frequently highlighted as major positives, making it a top-tier museum experience for many.
"Fascinating museum with an impressive collection! There is so much to see. If you like museums, I think it’s the best one I’ve visited so far. A lot of ancient pieces and a deep look into the rich history of the Aeolian Islands.
It takes time to go through everything, so come with time and energy (at least 1 hour). They also have detailed descriptions in English.
Entrance is €10.
Definitely worth a visit!"

"As an archaologist I have been to hundreds of museums in my life but none left me speechless like this one. Such rich finds is such a small town blew my mind. I wish I had 5 hours to spent in the museum in stead of one and a half, it was simply not enought to soak in all the information about the Necropolis and the rich history of the town. If you like greek and roman finds this museum is a good reason to visit Lipari from the mainland just on its own. Hope I get a chance to come back."

"Lovely museum with a vintage feel, reminiscent of the 1950s.
While there may be too many items on display, the Italian and English descriptions are always very informative.
Room XXI, with its red funerary vases, is worth the trip alone. The dancing Satyrs and Maenads depicted on them are beautifully drawn and embody the full Dionysian spirit !
Don't forget to stroll on the terraces behind the museum."
