Upon arrival at the Visitor Center, the birdwatching stations aren't very well maintained but are accessible and are also the only spots closest to the lake.
Using the map in the photo as a reference, the path to the left along the lake doesn't offer a great view and isn't particularly safe, as some tree trunks are unsafe. A sign also warns that the trail may be inaccessible at times due to its potential for flooding.
For those interested in lake animals: this is a migration area for cranes!"
