What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Lago di Dobbiaco, calling it a 'hidden gem' that often exceeds expectations with its stunning natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Many highlight the easy loop walk and picturesque views, noting it's less crowded than other Dolomite lakes. Some minor drawbacks include potential parking issues and less-than-ideal camping facilities if staying nearby.
"When I say WOW, it means a lot 😍we Passed by here 3x, and I knew it this Lake has a lot to offer. So decided to stop for a break and go for a circular loop and the views never failed me."

"I recently stayed at this camping site and I have mixed feelings about my experience.
On the positive side, the bathrooms were impeccable, with some even having their own sink, hot water, and always stocked with toilet paper. The campsite also offered a beautiful view and is conveniently located for quick access to various areas. A supermarket is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and quiet hours were respected.
I was able to find a spot without a reservation around 4-5 pm, but I would recommend arriving by 11 am for easier setup.
On the downside, the tent area was overcrowded with minimal space between tents, leading to a lack of privacy. The reception staff, particularly one of the girls, had an extremely arrogant attitude. Despite paying for the car, there was a chance you may not find a spot inside to park it. It was disappointing not to have a fridge for the price of 50€ per day, including all fees. The ground was also uneven, making it challenging to set up tents properly. The showers were poorly ventilated, leading to a presence of mold and difficulty breathing with the door closed.
In conclusion, while the camping site has its strengths such as excellent bathrooms and a good location, the overcrowded tent area, lack of parking, absence of a fridge, uneven ground, and poorly ventilated showers with mold make it difficult to fully recommend."
