"Today we discovered a little gem nestled in the tranquil countryside of Brescello: Osteria La Golena. A place with a homey atmosphere, where every delicious and plentiful dish tells a story of flavor, tradition, and passion for fine Emilian cuisine.
We started with two first courses that absolutely won us over:
• Pumpkin tortelli with an authentic flavor, soft and enveloping
• Porcini mushroom and truffle tortelli, simply out of this world, fragrant and rich.
Followed by a tender braised beef accompanied by a truly extraordinary corn polenta, the perfect balance between rusticity and sophistication.
A generous platter of cured meats was a must: coppa dell'Emilia, salami, and prosciutto, along with grilled and pickled vegetables, completed an impeccable array of flavors.
All accompanied by a fragrant and delicious Lambrusco, which enhanced each dish without ever overpowering it.
The family-run staff was kind, knowledgeable, and always attentive to our needs, helping us feel truly at home.
