Reviews Summary

Visitors find Forte di Gavi to be an impressive historical masterpiece with beautiful views, though access is strictly limited to guided tours, which are lengthy and conducted in Italian. While the history and art are appreciated, some feel the tour content might not justify the cost for everyone. Reddit+1

"We came at the perfect time to catch a tour with a couple who reserved it in advance. They do tours about once every hour and a half, you have to wait if they are on a tour as the door is clothed in between. The tour is an hour and a half and it’s in Italian. A lot of history and art. The views are nice. There is no exploring on our own- just the tour."

Miss Krista C-O

"It's a beautiful fort with a rich history. I recommend looking at the opening times though. When we visited, it only opened at fixed times - and guided tour only. So it wasn't possible to walk around freely. The tour took about 100 minutes."
