"Perfect place to visit but take bottle of water during summer time and good pair of shoes (no flip flops) fantastic views and at the end it is worth to see sea mussels in the cave walls."

"Very nice, scenic hike through the rugged Salento coastal landscape. The path is fairly easy (but comfortable shoes advised) but narrow (which adds to its beauty). We did the hike on a Sunday in May, and it was fairly busy, but we could still enjoy the beauty of the trail at our own pace. In spring, the area if full of wild flowers, which makes it a great time to visit. Halfway the trail you can descend to an impressive cave which looks out over the sea. The hike is fairly short (there and back approximately 5km, and not to much height difference), but you can prolong it by adding the ‘sentiero del Ciolo’, which goes up the canyon at the Ciolo bridge. At the end of the ‘sentiero del Ciolo’ there’s a convenient and free car park."
