What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the absolutely breathtaking views of Florence and the incredibly friendly, welcoming staff. The modern cabins and clean pool are definite highlights, offering a delightful Tuscan ambiance close to the city. However, some guests point out issues with the WiFi, the condition of older sanitary facilities, and the high prices at the onsite shop.
"Very happy with this location, you experience the ambiance of Tuscany while being close to Florence.
The shuttle of the camping goes every hour to and forth and stops at Piazza Mino in the village. From there bus 7 goes to multiple times per hour also till late in the evening to piazza gallo in Florence from where you can easily walk into the city.
You can also walk 20-30 min. from the camping tot the busstop (depending on going up or down). Supermarket in the village is nice.
Nice terrace at the camping and clean pool with nice view over the city.
Very lovely staff at reception, very helpful.
Accomodation standard house was perfect for a couple. We stayed 4 nights. Didnt eat at the campsite but heard from others they serve very good pizza.
If we come back to Florence we will definitely return here!"

"We booked a cabin for just one night and didn’t expect much — we simply needed a place to stay overnight. After booking, I noticed the low rating on Google Maps and felt a bit disappointed. But I couldn’t have been more wrong — this camping site exceeded all my expectations!
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere very warm. The view over Florence is absolutely breathtaking — a true delight for the eyes. The cabin itself was new, stylish, and comfortable, with high-quality furniture and modern appliances. On top of that, the property has a swimming pool and plenty of space to walk our dog, which was a huge plus for us.
I am truly impressed and can recommend this place 100%! We’ll definitely come back again."

"This is our fourth year of talking a campervan trip. We've spent nine weeks in the Pacific Northwest in the US, the weeks in Alaska, and three weeks in the American West. This is, arguably, the nicest place the stayed. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere in views were totally lovely. There is a very well kept and maintained pool that is attached to a restaurant and snack bar. Services for washing your dishes. Showering, toileting, laundry, and dumping of waste. So if which are very well maintained. If we ever return to Italy, we are definitely coming back here."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
However, parents should be aware of the steep hills surrounding the campsite, which might be challenging for very young children or strollers. Also, the reported issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of some sanitary facilities could be a concern for families. Planning to utilize the cabin amenities or the restaurant for meals might be more practical than relying on the limited and pricey onsite shop.
💰 Budget Travelers
However, be mindful of the expensive onsite shop and consider stocking up on groceries from the Fiesole village supermarket. While the restaurant is praised for its pizza, frequent dining there might strain a tight budget. The reported issues with WiFi and sanitary facilities might be acceptable trade-offs for the price and the incredible views.
🐶 Pet Owners
Ensure your dog is comfortable with the steep terrain if you plan on exploring the surrounding areas on foot. The shuttle and bus system to Florence are generally accommodating for pets, but it's always wise to check specific carrier requirements for public transport.

Navigating to Florence: Shuttle & Bus System
While the shuttle and bus system is efficient, some visitors note that walking to the bus stop from the campsite can be a 20-30 minute journey, involving steep inclines. This is an important consideration, especially if you have mobility issues or are traveling with young children. However, the convenience of reaching Florence without needing to worry about parking makes this a worthwhile trade-off for many.
For those arriving by bicycle, be aware that the steep surrounding hills can make cycling to and from the campsite challenging after a long day on the road. Planning your routes and understanding the terrain is crucial for cyclists.
Accommodation Options: Cabins vs. Camping
For those who prefer a more traditional camping experience, the camping pitches are available. However, reviews suggest that these spots can be quite cramped, with tents placed very close together, potentially leading to disturbances like neighborly snoring. The sanitary facilities for campers are also a point of concern, with some described as old, often defective, and in need of more frequent cleaning, though one washroom has been renovated.
Regardless of your choice, the overall atmosphere is consistently described as warm and welcoming, with very lovely and helpful staff at the reception. This friendly service contributes significantly to the positive experience, even if some facilities require attention.
Dining Delights and Practicalities
However, it's important to manage expectations regarding the 'shop' located within the restaurant. This is not a full supermarket and is noted for its high prices. For instance, a small bottle of beer can cost €5, and a litre of milk €3. Similarly, the bakery items sold for breakfast are also considered expensive and limited.
For more budget-friendly grocery shopping, visitors highly recommend utilizing the supermarket in Fiesole village. This offers a better selection and more reasonable prices for essentials, allowing you to prepare some of your own meals if your accommodation allows, or simply stock up on snacks and drinks.
