"The Fano Carnival, one of the oldest in Italy after the Venice Carnival, is very interesting. The allegorical floats that parade are true papier-mâché works of art, an expression of pure creativity. A fun, cheerful, and carefree atmosphere reigns. This year, among the new features, the Sinner float has been introduced. It is also a particularly sweet Carnival due to the huge quantities of sweets, chocolates, and candies, which are thrown by the ton from the floats and the stands. The ritual of throwing the sweets has a historic tradition and is a propitiatory rite to celebrate new life at the arrival of spring, evoking the gesture of the farmer throwing seed into the earth.

The entrance fee is a more than reasonable 13 euros, the full price for adults. I can only highly recommend a visit to this wonderful carnival, allowing yourself to be amazed by the thousand colors of the majesty of its allegorical floats, various musical notes, including Arabic music, as well as the sweetness of its sweets!"

"The Fano carnival is not bad even if the floats are few and the sweets they throw to people on the second lap are of very low quality. The real problem is that the entrance to this event where you stand for hours to see the floats twice is a good 15 euros per person, really too much for a mini parade of floats and no other type of service."
