"Fano Cathedral was built in the twelfth century on the site of a previous church that had been destroyed. It was erected by Master Rainerio in the Romanesque style and consecrated around 1140. The façade has retained its original Romanesque structure, thanks primarily to restoration work carried out in the 1920s. Of great historical and artistic value is the pulpit, composed of marble slabs with reliefs depicting Gospel episodes from the life of Jesus."
