What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Fondazione Burri Ex Seccatoi del Tabacco, calling it an exceptional and must-visit museum. The unique architecture of the former tobacco drying sheds, combined with the comprehensive display of Alberto Burri's art, creates an unforgettable experience. Some find the admission price a bit high for the location, and the exhibition can feel repetitive to some.
"Exceptional museum, with the upper and lower section offering an incredible experience. The bookshop is also well curated although doesn't offer many different non-book presents.
The presentation of the artist however happens in a side section in the basement at the very end, which I recommend to do first to get a better context for enjoying the productions afterwards."

"This is a MUST VISIT on your list, period!
I know, I know....it's a bit far away and in the middle of nowhere, but trust me. Whether or not you are a fan of modern art, you won't regret the time you spend there. The Seccatoi building is very elegant and interesting, with an incredible feeling about the exhibition spaces. I've been in many museums around the world admiring the art masterpieces by Alberto Burri but it was always a spot presence. Here, you can understand his evolution along his life and the path which brought him to his remarkable world reputation.
I have been here during a gloomy weekend day and it's a bit sad to see this type of museum a bit empty of people, it would be super-crowded if this museum was located in London or NYC.
So, take your time and your car, plan a trip and enjoy the visit. You will never regret it!"

"The admission costs 15 eur per person instead of 6 eur on Google map and on their own website. Considering the location and the collection of exhibition, the price is too expensive.
The collection of paintings were nice to look initially. But it can be a bit boring after a while because both the building itself and the exhibition are repetitive and lack of varieties."
