What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise La Rocca for its absolutely spectacular views and the rewarding sense of accomplishment after the hike. The challenging trail is noted, with many recommending sturdy footwear and ample water. While the climb can be intense, the panoramic vistas of Cefalù and the sea make it a highly recommended experience for most.
"Highly recommended! Just remember it’s quite a hike and wear your most comfortable shoes. It’s a long walk so take some food and lots of water. It’s all worth it. The earlier you will climb the better because of the heat. The views are spectacular!"
Dagmara B
"The hike up to the top is doable, but preferably to be done in the morning, as the trail has some shade during the hours before noon. The views are spectacular, as expected but the trail conditions are not. There are areas where handrails could be useful, especially where the slope is steeper and the trail is just a dirt path covered with pine needles. The risk of sliding down made me regret not taking my hiking sticks. Carefully consider your steps in those areas."
Magda Din
"The entrance is 5€
Exceptional views from the seeing point, near the cross. You can also go up to the castle ruins, but the views aren’t as great."
