"I love Cavalese, which I've been visiting regularly for 36 years. I ran my first psychotherapy practice there from 1989 to 2016, bringing me great professional satisfaction. But for a few years now, returning to my home here has become a real ordeal. Like many of my neighbors, aged 70 and older, I'm forced to keep my windows closed, even in the summer heat (and air conditioning has never been used here) due to the annoying din of the Bar Canton speakers and the constantly blasting piped music. It's impossible to work or rest in your own home, where even closed windows don't provide protection from the CONTINUOUS NOISE POLLUTION. There's no longer any respect for the elderly, the hearing impaired, children, shopkeepers, professionals, residents, and visitors. Everyone is forced to "accept" NOISE IMPOSITIONS OF QUESTIONABLE TASTE, as if they were CONTINUOUS MENTAL MANIPULATION. I advise those who decide this state of affairs to travel to Romania, to the beautiful towns of Sibiu and Brasov, where the historic centers, filled with shops, bars, and restaurants, don't have a single loudspeaker outside; where visitors are free to stroll with only their own thoughts, enjoying an EMPATHY and WELCOMING that, alas, Cavalese has set aside in favor of a vulgar adaptation to current rudeness and vulgarity. Ultimately, we come to the mountains primarily to find peace and relaxation from the strains of city life, and to feel unwelcome and oppressed, in the final years of our lives, by the so-called "demands of younger consumers." This is a complete lie, as it's the quality, location, and courtesy of the MANAGERS that ATTRACT CUSTOMERS, and certainly not sounds that young people can hear everywhere, anytime, and which should instead be made easier to communicate with each other...
It remains true that the class and elegance of a place are perceived above all in the behavior and decisions, with all due respect, of its administrators. And we hope this beautiful country will win them back!"

"In this difficult time, when tourists are afraid to travel because of this damned pandemic and when hoteliers who live off tourism are doing everything they can to make ends meet, the MUNICIPALITY OF CAVALESE is stepping in! Perhaps it's more important to make money, infuriate tourists, and ruin their vacations than to help them with traffic and ensuring their safety. If your GPS tells you to take a road and the signs aren't clearly visible, and if many non-local drivers (also called tourists) pass by, maybe something's wrong! (5 cars in 20 minutes!!) That doesn't mean the more people (tourists) pass by, the more money they make!!! Perhaps the signage needs to be improved!! Perhaps tourists need to be understood and forgiven. If you come to this intersection and want to turn right (see photo), don't do it! Because in the center, under the streetlamp, there's an "abandoned" sign that indicates access is prohibited unless you're a bus or are authorized, but it allows the municipality to MAKE MONEY! Cavalese is a WONDERFUL place in our Italy, but if the police treat tourists like this, don't be surprised if someone changes their destination."

It's a shame that a careless and ignorant administration can ruin everything by unleashing traffic police to fine tourists even when they park in unauthorized spots where the car doesn't disturb traffic. This is particularly disturbing when it happens on August 13th in a town that thrives on tourism and doesn't offer enough parking for the crowds. Is this the hospitality Cavalese wants to offer? Shameful!"
