What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Palazzo Biscari is a stunning example of Sicilian Baroque architecture, praised for its opulent interiors and unique staircase. While some areas show signs of age and may require restoration, the historical narratives shared by guides, often descendants of the original family, add immense value to the visit.
"Ok but once fully renovated and the paintings have been cleaned it will be a better place to visit.
Guides available if wanted and price concession for over 65's.
Signs of decay on ceilings and paintings discoloured from smoke from the two fireplaces in the main hall. This hides a lot of the fine details in most of the paintings.
A visit takes about 30 minutes."

"You can choose between visiting on your own (EUR 7) or a guided tour (EUR 10). I recommend to attend the guided tour (Italian and English available). No waiting times."
Thorsten Thomas Maier
"Once they have the time and money to restore this Palazzo it will be a great place to visit.
The ceilings are finely painted but there is evidence of water ingress.
The paintings could do with some expert cleaning to make them more vibrant. Sadly they have suffered the ravages of time and smoke from the two fireplaces in the main hall.
Pity as it has a great history."
