What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Aquino Archaeological Museum for its exceptional value, offering a wealth of historical artifacts and a remarkably preserved Roman amphitheater at a very low cost. The site is considered a hidden gem, with many highlighting the immersive experience of exploring the ancient ruins, often with few other visitors. While some mention that lighting could be improved, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many recommending it as a must-visit for its historical significance and affordability.
"Great money for value. There are three chambers of pottery, funerary tombstones, swords, and apparel from the time of the Corinthians in 100 B.C. Underneath you can see from the inside the amphitheater and a beautiful Duomo dedicated to the First Lady, the daughter of a Roman Consul. There used to be gladiator fights and fights against animals in Roman times when an audience of 4500 could take part in the Roman "Panem et Circenses"."

"The price of the entry is really cheap, so definitely worthy!!! The museum and the lapidarium are really nice, but the amphitheatre and the mausoleum are astonishing!!!"
