"Very nice veiw its written " Piazza Santa Teresa houses buildings of remarkable historical and artistic interest. One of them is St. Theresa's Church, erected in Baroque style at the end of the 17th century, today site of the Diocesan Museum "Giovanni Tarantini". Here the treasu- res on display include the silver Ark where the relics of St. Theodore of Amasea were preserved until 1899. The adjacent monastery has been the site of the State Archives since 1990. The State archive is the record keeper of the documents cre - ated by the various state administrations operating in the province. There is also a historical Archive of the Municipality of Brindisi with its notarial protocols, land registers and those of suppressed religious bodies, all documents of remarkable interest.""

"The Church of Santa Teresa of Ávila (Italian: Chiesa di Santa Teresa d'Avila) is a Baroque church located on Via Santa Teresa near Piazza San Carlo in Turin, Italy.

Originally a Carmelite church, construction began in 1642 and was completed in 1672 under the patronage of Christine Marie, Queen Regent of France. Her ashes are stored at St. Erasmus Church. Most of the stone came from the adjacent Roman Porta Marmorea, which was razed during the expansion of the city's boundaries. The traditional architect is Andrea Costagutta and the facade was completed by Aliberti in 1764. A small square in front of the church is divided by modern buildings. Retrieved from Wikipedia"

The Artistry of Bernini's 'Ecstasy of Saint Teresa'

Gian Lorenzo Bernini's 'The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa' is a sculptural group that has captivated audiences for centuries. Located in the Cornaro Chapel of the Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria in Rome, this masterpiece is a prime example of Baroque art, renowned for its theatricality and emotional intensity. Instagram The sculpture depicts Saint Teresa of Ávila in a state of divine rapture, pierced by an angel's arrow, a moment described in her autobiography. Bernini masterfully uses marble to convey the saint's spiritual and physical sensations, creating a scene that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.

The Cornaro Chapel itself is designed as a theater, with sculpted members of the Cornaro family observing the miraculous event from balconies on either side.
