What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Cane Malu's stunning, otherworldly rock formations and crystal-clear natural pools, often comparing the landscape to the moon. The opportunity for swimming and snorkeling is a major highlight. However, the challenging, rocky terrain and lack of facilities are frequently mentioned drawbacks, requiring visitors to come prepared with appropriate footwear and sun protection.
"Amazing rock pool, bring goggles! Park early, there is a track (closed to cars) that leads up to the right to a rough foot path trail. It’s about a 15min walk (in proper shoes), you can park down the trail to the left but it’s much easier to park a little further away and walk the extra 2-5mins, rather than risk scratching your car as you are leaving revering up the narrow off road lane.
Walking over there is one bit where the direct route takes you to a rock that is very steep, if you walk closer to the waters edge it is much more manageable.
We had an amazing time with our goggles looking at the fish in this calm pool, the water is deep at most points, so being a confident swimmer or having one in your group is useful."

"It may look like you’re on planet Earth, but you actually feel as if you’ve landed on the 🌛 or inside a volcanic crater 🌝🌏 A truly raw place, full of risky spots (holes in the rocks, crevices, dangerous descents, steep climbs). Perfect for explorers (and for those who enjoy unusual experiences). Water shoes and umbrella are a must. There’s no infrastructure either (toilet, shops etc.)"

"An otherworldly place with some subtle Dune vibes. Check it out when in Bosa or around, but be aware: it’s not super accessible, you have to get through some rocky and uneven terrain. Google Maps says you can go up quite close by car, but at the end of the asphalt road, it’s a short off-road incline. It’s better to park your car before the incline and walk. I suggest to have your shoes on, it’s not a terrain for slippers for sure. There is no natural shadow either, so pack your umbrella and sunscreen."
