What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the stunning beauty and tranquility of the Villa Melzi gardens, offering a peaceful escape with picturesque lake views. While the gardens are a highlight, some find the entry fee steep for access only to the grounds, and the limited toilet facilities are a notable drawback. The villa itself is not accessible internally.
"The gardens are beautiful. Keep in mind that you cannot enter the villa itself, however when visiting Bellagio, and would like a quiet change of pace, this is the place to go. The ferry's leaving Bellagio to Menaggio or Varenna are very long (at least it was in mid/end of May so who knows how much more busier in July- Aug), long, so plan accordingly if you need to get to another place for a specific time."

"Great place with only one mixed toilet facility. For the ticket prices you only see the gardens, the museums are a stretch. You pay for the views of the lake which you can see everywhere. Of all the villas we've visited this one is the least i liked.

"I visited Villa Melzi D'Eril in May last year, and even though the sky was a bit cloudy, the villa and gardens and the view to Bellagio Lake were absolutely stunning. The well maintained gardens are great to stroll through, offering serene views and a sense of timeless beauty. The villa is impressive, showing elegance and charm. However, you can not visit inside. It’s the kind of place that makes you dream of having a retirement house here, surrounded by such tranquility and beauty. This is a must visit spot."
