What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Capo d'Ansedonia for its beautiful, fine sand and clear, shallow waters, making it a lovely spot for relaxation and swimming. The convenience of nearby amenities like restaurants and the dog-friendly sections are also highlighted. However, parking can be limited and fill up quickly, and some areas may experience seaweed or driftwood after storms.
"Very nice and quite clean considering it is a free beach.
There is a paid parking lot that is not very big and there are bars for a snack or a coffee.
Very pleasant."
Michael Badini
"Famous for bordering the cliff that houses the village of Ansedonia, at the point known as "la Tagliata" or "la Tagliata Etrusca," it offers a large, flat area with fine sand suitable for umbrellas. The entrance to the sea is very gradual. The fine sand was almost black until 2024, then, due to storm surges, the beach eroded and in 2025, it was replenished with lighter, but still fine, sand for over 10 meters along the entire stretch of beach. The water is very clear, and it's easy to spot small fish that venture right up to the shore. This stretch is often characterized by a light breeze that becomes a bit stronger in the afternoon. In short: one of the most beautiful beaches in Tuscany!"
Alex La Greca
"A long, fine-sand beach, both free and partially equipped with beach clubs and restaurants. It has some free parking. The sea is clean."
