What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Grotta Verde's stunning emerald waters and the magical glow created by sunlight. Many appreciate it as a calmer alternative to the Blue Grotto, offering a more serene experience. However, some note that wait times can be long, and the actual time inside the grotto is brief, leading some to suggest it might not be a top priority if time is limited.
"Grotta Verde is like an emerald gem along Capri’s coast. Sunlight hits the cave at just the right angle, making the water glow green as if the sea were putting on a laser show. Compared to the more famous Blue Grotto, it’s calmer here – fewer tourists, more time to take it all in. And if you jump into the water, you might feel like a mermaid… or a glowing green squid, depending on how much limoncello you had beforehand. :)"

"We went in Sept 2022. We hired a captain with a boat to get in line to see the grotto. You can also access it by land. They have small boats that can go into the cave where you hop on.
The wait was long and there were a lot of people. It was definitely fun exploring the grotto but if you are hiring a captain to go around Capri, Grotto Verde doesn’t have to be a must place to stop by because there are other grottos around the island that you can access by boat for free without waiting in line."

"Pure beauty. The water is exceptionally clear and reflects a blue color. The only way to view is on a boat around the island of Capri. We rented a small yacht in which a the Skipper brought us very close resulting in tremendous snapshots and promising memories"
