The archaeological site, with its ancient synagogue and the iconic Magdala Stone, offers a fascinating glimpse into first-century life. While some note it's not yet fully open, the experience is widely considered moving and worthwhile.

"Just beyond the excavations is a beautiful church. The excavations are very interesting in themselves, but for me the church was the most significant part of the experience. The main chapel has a beautiful altar of a boat with windows behind. Exquisite icons of the apostles surround the sanctuary that are life size. There is a small chapel below. This is a very moving experience."

Bryan Spoon

I was blessed to be escorted by Fr Kelly ego led me through the various sections of the church which is primarily dedicated to the important women in the Bible
The artwork inside and outside the church is amazing"
