Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Joe Alon Center Museum to be an informative and culturally rich experience, particularly appreciating the ethnographic collection and the unique Bedouin coffee ceremony. However, some note that the museum feels dated and could benefit from modernization and more interactive exhibits. The remote location and limited public transport access are also points of consideration for potential visitors.

"Perfect place to single track mountain bike in the winter fool of flowers"

Uri Erel

"It's a great setting and needs serious change and a new vision......at present there is very little reason to visit....the welcoming tent is no longer welcoming, the herb garden needs replacing, the Bar Kochba caves are closed, no donkey rides, no petting corner....the museum is interesting but is dated and not interactive.....someone should make this place his project. Lots of local residents would really appreciate this place renovated, inspiring both as a story of the Bedouin culture in the past, today and in the future... I don't know who Joe Alon was but I'm sure we owe him at least that.....and when I bring friends and relatives from abroad I will be proud rather than ashamed.....Pesah sameach 2022"

"Nice ethnographic museum dedicated to the Bedouin in Israel and Sinai. A very impressive collection is on display. The site is a bit remote and I'm not sure that it is accessible by public transportation. Also, they charge an entrance fee."
