"Winderful experience! Ancient church with great history. Use the car park of airport. Go right till the sign, go right again near the beach. After the church have a look at Nun's beach."

Dara Mazina

"I walked the Killaspugbrone loop for the first time with my two dogs on a sunny September afternoon. I started and Strandhill and walked clockwise around the loop, the trail is well marked with a great mixture of beautiful and peaceful sand dunes, headlands, grasslands, beaches, woodlands and Killaspugbrone graveyard and church ruins surrounding Sligo airport. I was kept well entertained by the Sligo coastguard R118 helicopters doing practice take-offs, fly rounds and landings. The last few km was on public roads.

Fergus O'Shea

"Lovely walk, down by the ocean. You may even get to see a plane landing or taking off. Great history with the old church also."
