Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Lough Inagh Valley for its breathtaking, almost otherworldly beauty, often describing it as one of Ireland's most stunning locations. The dramatic mountain scenery and serene lake views are highlights, though some note the potential for strong winds and the need for cash for sheep feed. It's a highly recommended stop for its picturesque landscapes and peaceful atmosphere.

"This is one of my favorite places we went to while visiting Ireland. The views are incredible and the beauty is unlike any place I have ever been. I recommend having a jacket handy. It was very windy when we were there in July."

Bekah D

"I’d like to thank the private landowners for providing us with such a beautiful opportunity to interact with their sheep.

A lovely spot to stop at. Kids loved the experience.
I would definitely encourage getting a few one euro coins to feed the sheep.
They have other lovely things available like magnets, pieces of turf, St.Brigid’s cross for a few euro.
There is no card machine but Leenane village isn’t too far off to go get a few coins.

Be mindful to the area, it’s honestly lovely.

If the view had a song written about it, “Where Heaven is a place on Earth” would match appropriately.

There is enough parking for several cars.
Keep in mind- during tourist season, tour buses stop there. Have the driver direct traffic because leaving the parking lot without assistance around tour buses can be lethal."
