What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Kilkenny Hurling Experience for its fun, informative, and engaging nature, highlighting the excellent instructors who make learning the sport accessible to all. While some note minor disorganization with food service and a walk to the pitch, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many recommending it as a unique cultural immersion and a fantastic activity for families and groups.
"Was a fun time hurling, good central location as well if you're staying in Kilkenny, however it was a bit disorganized in terms of getting your pub lunch in the end, we had to wait a while for the food to come out even though we had ordered at the start of the tour. Just a heads up, it's a bit of a walk from the meeting point to the pitch where you practise. Also it's more of a tutorial on the basics of hurling, they don't really go into the history of the sport or give you any background to it."

"Had an amazing afternoon hitting a ball with a stick. But seriously, this is a fantastic way to get an introduction to the sport, even if you're only going to watch it on TV afterwards. Our instructor, Andy, was informative, entertaining, and tailored the outing to the group. I must highly recommend it especially to any hockey players, as they all seemed to do very well, but even a less athletic lady like me managed to get the hang of some moves. I've certainly gained a huge appreciation for the sport."

"Exceptional experience! Informative and FUN! James was great to work with for our entire family. He was quite accommodating to our schedule, knowledgable, and got everyone engaged in learning and having fun.
Highly recommend for the entire family!"
