What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The ILAC Centre is praised for its wide variety of shops, reasonable prices, and convenient city-centre location, with seasonal decorations adding a pleasant touch. However, some visitors feel it's dated and could use refurbishment, and a few have noted uncomfortable encounters with certain individuals, suggesting a need for enhanced security.
"No need for a scandal to use a public toilet!
I usually enjoy coffee here, but today was a terrible experience. A cleaning staff member asked me personal questions about my baby, blocked the doorway, refused access to the larger toilet, and told me to leave my pram outside and enter alone.
I explained I couldn’t use the small toilet because of the pram and a long queue, but I was still denied access. I left to avoid an argument.
Staff need proper training. They have no right to interrogate customers, block access, or judge who “deserves” to use a toilet. Not all disabilities are visible."
